Tim Crawley has absolutely been on fire over the past few months, and that didn't slow down on Friday night with a victory in the opener for the Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS).
Forty-nine competitors converged on the state-of-the-art oval, and Tim won his heat race from the fourth starting spot. In the redraw for the feature he received the pole starting spot. While it definitely was far from easy Crawley was able to lead every lap to register the victory, which was his twelfth of the season. He was followed across the finish line by Wayne Johnson, Sam Hafertepe Jr., Johnny Herrera, and Jeff Swindell.
On Saturday night Crawley was locked into the feature via his performance on Friday night. The redraw presented him with the sixth starting spot, and he would go on to finish eighth at the checkered flag.
