The 27th Annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals came to life at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Tuesday night as the $2,000-to-win, 2nd Annual Short Track Open was held.
Sixty-six entries took part in the event, and via preliminary action Tim earned the twenty-second starting spot for the feature in the Mike Ward Racing #88 Maxim Sprint Car. He went on to advance to a sixteenth place finish.
On Thursday night Crawley entered his qualifying night for the weekend, and it was an interesting night to say the least. With 37 entries taking part in the program Tim earned the tenth starting spot in the 25 lap finale. He progressively worked his way through the field, and in the closing laps he worked his way into the third spot. With the top three locking into Saturday night's finale Crawley looked to be on his way to a locked-in spot, but his luck quickly changed as Jerrod Hull took him out coming to the white flag, ending his night in the 19th position.
For Saturday night's finale Tim started eighth in his qualifier before advancing to a fourth place finish. As a result he started sixth in his b-main and would manage a fourth place finish. Unfortunately with only the top two finishers transferring to the feature his weekend came to an early end.
