May 3rd, 2014 - Tim Crawley Competes in Lucas Oil ASCS Weekend
1Tim Crawley entered a pair of Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) events over the weekend in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

On Friday night Crawley was behind the wheel of the John James #4J Sprinter at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma), and via preliminary action he raced into the main event in the seventeenth starting spot. He battled issues early in the feature before retiring to a 22nd place finish.

Tim returned to the driver's seat of the #88 Mike Ward Motorsports/Maxim on Saturday night as he chased yet another Rock 'N Roll 50 title at the famed Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas). With 33 entries on hand for the big event Crawley won his heat race to move onto the pole position for the 50 lap finale. Tim paced the first eighteen laps before Derek Hagar snuck past in traffic for the top spot. Over the next several laps the duo staged a great battle for the lead as they exchanged slidejobs. Crawley hoped to have a shot at the lead late in the race, but he would jump the cushion packing his right rear with mud as any chance of snaring the victory escaped his grasp. He settled for a second place finish.
