April 27th, 2013 - Crawley Competes in ASCS Lone Star Region Action
1With the rain-forced postponement of the Rock 'N Roll 50 at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas) Tim Crawley took part in a pair of American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Lone Star Region events in the state of Texas in the #17 Mike Baughman Motorsports Sprinter.

The action opened on Friday night at Boyd Raceway (Boyd, Texas), where he started and finished seventh in his heat race to earn the eleventh starting spot for the feature event. In the main event he passed six cars to record a fifth place finish behind race winner, Tony Bruce Jr., Johnny Herrera, Channin Tankersley, and Matt Covington.

Saturday evening found the action shifting to Abilene Speedway (Abilene, Texas) for another event as twenty-three entries registered for battle. A fifth to third run in his heat race locked him into the redraw for the feature, where he was the recipient of the fourth starting spot. He raced in the top five early in the event before sliding backwards to an eighth place finish.

1Tim Crawley took the #88 Mike Ward Racing/GF1 Chassis into action on Saturday night at Duck River Speedway (Wheel, Tennessee) in a United Sprint Car Series (USCS) event at the 1/3 mile oval.

Tim started the night by winning the Hoosier Tire Speed Dash, and then went on to win his heat race to lock into the second starting spot for the feature with Derek Hagar joining him on the front row. Hagar won the drag race to turn one on the first lap, and Crawley would pursue him for the duration of the 30 lap feature before settling for a second place finish at the checkered flag. Terry Gray, Morgan Bagley, and Anthony Nicholson rounded out the top five at the checkered flag.

Tim Crawley returned to the cockpit of the #88 Mike Ward Racing/GF1 Chassis on Saturday night at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) as he went into battle with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS). Thirty-nine competitors converged on the 1/4 mile oval, and a second place finish in his heat race locked him into the $4,000-to-win feature event. Unfortunately bad luck would strike the team once again prior to the feature, when a mechanical issue was discovered, which forced Crawley to scratch from the finale. He was credited with a twenty-fourth place finish.
